Nike Ordem 2 Premier League Official Match Ball Review

by

The Nike Ordem 2 is the Official Match Ball of the Premier League for the 2014-15 season. The Nike Ordem 2 is designed and engineered for a highly sensitive feel and explosive response off the foot. The ball consists of 12 fuse-welded panels in a three-layer casing system, and a poly-blend wrapped, free-floating carbon latex bladder.

The Ordem 2 features NIKE AEROW TRAC grooves, Nike Football’s newest proprietary innovation. The grooves are engineered to grip and channel the air to produce the truest trajectory and most consistent flight, which help ensure stability and accuracy in mid-air.

The surface of the Nike Ordem is emblazoned with Nike’s RaDaR (Rapid Decision and Response) technology. This is a graphic pattern, unique to each league, which creates a flickering effect as the ball rotates. RaDaR makes it easier for players to see the ball in their peripheral vision, allowing for faster reactions and decision-making.

The question everyone wants to know is this an improvement over the Nike Incyte from last year, the simple answer is yes.

  1. Hi josh I am looking for a new top end soccer ball under $200 and i was wondering what the best soccer ball is if you could please email me back I would love that p.s.
I love and watch your videos all the time!

  2. I just got my Nike Ordem 2 Serie A style ball. I noticed that that the bladder felt lose before being fully inflated. After inflating it to the right amount of psi, when hitting the ball or even just slightly heading it, I could still feel the bladder move. Another problem that I have is that the valve is leaking air. I was just wondering if you had the same problems as I a m having when you first got the ball? Or is I just because it was brand new and hadn’t been inflated?

I also had a question regarding the air retention in this ball. After inflating the recommended psi level which is about 11., i left it alone without touching it over night and in the morning it had gone down to about 10 psi. Is this normal? Another thing to take into consideration is that I haven’t yet kicked or played with the ball at all for the same reason that it might be defective, and if it is i would like to exchange for another of the same kind.

I hope this isn’t too much but i just really want to know because this is my first top end ball and i am concerned. I would love it if you could please email me back.

    Thanks in advance Josh!

    • It’s very possible your ball is defective is some way if you can feel the bladder moving around inside the ball, in which case I would get in contact with Nike warranty to get a replacement. As far as the ball losing air is concerned, that is not uncommon for top-end match balls, and what I would describe as completely normal. Just have a pump handy in your bag.

  3. Unfortunately I have bought three of these balls and ALL leak very quickly within minutes and have used glycerine on pump !
