There’s a certain expectation when it comes to AG stud patterns, where because of the nature of artificial grass, there’s really only one way to make a “safe” AG stud pattern, and that’s with rounded, conical studs. Which is why when we all saw the latest, BLADED AG stud pattern from  @adidasFootball , of course we all had our opinions.
In today’s video we take a closer look at the new AG version of the Adidas F50 Hyperfast Elite. Designed specifically for use on artificial grass, but with 4 bladed studs right in the middle of the forefoot, exactly the opposite of what most would expect. They say you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover, but it’s safe to say that we’ve already done that with these. But are we wrong? Are we not giving Adidas enough credit? In other words, contrary to what we’re all assuming, are these actually “safe” for use on artificial grass? I tested them out and was pleasantly surprised! We discuss the good and the bad of the new AG version of the F50 Hyperfast, ultimately determining whether or not these are as “dangerous” on artificial grass as we all assumed, or if they’re actually pretty decent.
