The Mizuno Elite series has always been a great product, at much more reasonable price tag, relative to their very expensive made in Japan offerings. But in recent years, with the introduction of the Alpha series, I’d argue that Mizuno has dominated the “value for money” top-end “speed” boot category! $180 isn’t cheap, but it sure beats the $260+ you’d pay for the very popular alternatives from both Nike and Adidas.
In today’s video we take a closer look at the new Mizuno Alpha 3 Elite, the partially redesigned, still $180, “speed” boot offering that takes a step back when it comes to responsiveness, all in favor of comfort. Was this the right move by Mizuno? How does the made in Vietnam Elite model compare to the $320 Japanese version? And perhaps most importantly, does Mizuno keep their unique title of making what is arguably both the best and cheapest high-end “speed” boots? Lots to discuss here, and a few things that you should definitely know about if you’re considering an upgrade from the Alpha 2.
