If you asked me what my favorite kind of football boots are, I’d say “something with a leather upper”, and I know I’m not alone on that. In saying that, there’s currently a trend happening in football boots were most brands are actually moving away from natural leather, and replacing them with synthetic alternatives. Up until now, most haven’t exactly impressed, but I do think Puma might be on to something!
In today’s video we take a closer look at the new Puma King 20 Ultimate, their latest take on a synthetic King, that I would argue takes huge steps forward over the last few attempts! Is it a true replacement for real leather, for most, probably not. But if you’re open to the idea of something with a synthetic upper that has leather-like qualities, amongst other potential “benefits”, you might want to keep an open mind when it comes to the latest King. We discuss what’s good, what’s bad, and ultimately conclude whether or not you should be swapping your leather boots for synthetic ones.
