adidas today celebrates the 20th anniversary of the iconic Predator soccer cleat with the unveil of the Predator Instinct. Some of the world’s best players, including Mesut Özil of Germany, Ángel di María of Argentina and Oscar of Brazil, will wear Predator Instinct when they return to their clubs after the 2014 FIFA World Cup. This particular colorway is the new Champions League model released for the upcoming tournament this year.
Predator Instinct is all about control. The cleat is made of new hybridtouch material, which combines the comfort and performance benefits of leather and synthetic. A new TPU outsole gives the cleat greater flexibility, and the 5 engineered SL rubber zones that Predator is known for are now merged with the outsole for improved control in passing. Predator Instinct’s all-new control frame maximizes grip on the ball, improving touch and control.
Adidas will release 14 new versions of Predator Instinct in 2014, including Revenge Instinct, a heritage set of three Predators based on the original designs of the 1994 Predator, the 1998 Accelerator and the 2002 Mania next month.
