The Nike Mercurial Vapor X has finally been unveiled with a few surprises. Below are some pictures with details of all the new features of the Vapor X. I just received a pair today for review and if you would like to see detailed pictures of the new Vapor X CLICK HERE.
The tongue-less upper (see picture below) features ultra-thin Teijin microfiber synthetic leather that conforms to the shape of your foot for a second-skin fit.
The allover micro-textured upper helps grip the ball for excellent touch, and All Conditions Control (ACC) technology provides consistent control in wet or dry conditions. I have also noticed although not confirmed either some type of flywire or an internal support structure that is visible in the above picture.
The Vapor traction pattern features direct-inject blades that dig and release quickly for exceptional traction in any direction. The forefoot grip zone, inspired by track spikes, provides toe-off traction for extra bursts of speed and features a Lightweight nylon chassis transfers energy directly to the cleats for enhanced responsiveness and stability
Notice the Mercurial Vapor X now has 4 studs in the heel instead of the 2 that were featured on the Vapor 9.
