Nike T90 EXP Shinguard Review

This is one of Nike`s premium shinguards, as it is custom moldable and does include some extra features that you won`t get with other guards. The shell and the backing material seperates using velcro, allowing you to place the shell in boiling water for the amount of time given in the instructions. Once heated up, the guard is placed in the sleeve on your leg and cooled in around 10 minutes, leaving you with a custom molded guard to your left and right shins. The shell itself is bigger in terms of size, and does provide a solid amount of protection. The backing is a unique hard foam material that almost doesn`t get wet and feels really high quality when on your leg. The extras include a thin foam pad that slides in to a special compartment on the back of the sleeves that cover the back of your calves. This is kind of a nice feature, as it will not provide a ton of protection, but it still provides some, while remaining light and low profile. These guard also come with a seperate ankle guard that is also very unique. It is made of very thin padding that is so little that it isn`t noticeable when wearing, but it will provide some protection.

Overall, there really isn`t much else that can provide all of these features for the price. Although $50 does seem a little bit high for shin guard, you really are getting premium protection and a custom fit that that very few shinguard can provide. If you want to be protected but not have your shinguard in the way, than these are the guards for you.
