 | Warrior Liverpool Home Jersey 2012-2013 |
|
The new Liverpool 2012-2013 home kit by Warrior is a tribute to the club’s incredible history, using several throwback elements that any true Liverpool fan can appreciate. The kit is modeled after the designs that Liverpool wore in the mid-80s, with the classic red jersey which Warrior went to great lengths to replicate, featuring all yellow accents in the crest and sponsor.
One of the major changes comes in the club logo, where Warrior have decided to change the Liverpool crest featuring the Shankly Gates and the eternal flames, and replaced it with the classic Liverbird, along with the clubs initials: LFC. On the back of the neck, the number 96 the two eternal flames on either side is embroidered in yellow, as a tribute to the 96 fans who passed away at Hillsborough.
The retro-look is finished off with very subtle pinstripes running vertically along the kit, making for a kit that not only looks great, but is truly symbolic of the clubs great history.
