Mizuno launches a brand new Speed Boot silo with the release of the Basara available in both a synthetic and leather version. The synthetic version of the Basara features a PrimSkin upper with a thin layer of FiberControl between the synthetic layers for extra support.

A unique design feature is the new insole, which has been designed to stop slipping thanks to Zero Glide technology by reducing the gap and slip of the foot in the boot.

The synthetic version of the Basara features 2 studs in the heel with 7 studs in the forefoot.

The soleplate of the Basara features the D-Flex Groove. The diagonal groove in the midfoot allows for easy turns at maximum speed while the configuration of 9 bladed moulded studs ensure great grip and agility. The stud pattern is unique and features 2 heel studs with 7 studs at forefoot. The synthetic Basara weighs in at 176 grams or 6.2 ounces.   2. If you’re doing a full review of it, could you please compare width with other models? I.e. Nike ctr etc. Thanks in advance. These boots look very promising! 🙂

  3. I wish Mizuno boots were more popular in the US, I would love to get a chance to try them out. So is this going to overtake the Neo as Mizuno’s speed boot?

    • I think that over time they might but for now I would expect them to continue the Morelia Neo as it is their best-selling boot where I live.
