The Select Numero 10 is one of the best balls on the market for the low price of $40. It isn’t anything fancy, but that is why it is so good. The Numero 10 uses the classic stitched, 32 panel design that is, in my opinion, still the best design for a good soccer ball. Each of the panels is made from an extra thick microfiber PU material that feels almost like a synthetic leather. The thickness of the outer material makes for a very durable ball, but it also means that there is some break-in time. When you first fill the ball with air, you will definitely notice how hard it is. I immediately started juggling with this ball, and found it to feel almost too hard. This is because this ball does require some break-in. There is no foam, or even padding for that matter, on this ball, but once you take it outside and give it a couple really hard strikes, you will find that the ball will feel much better after about an hour.

If you have ever used a Select soccer ball, you know the feel that they have. Since they don’t have very much padding, you really get that ping feeling when you pass or strike the ball, something that seems to be disappearing in modern soccer balls. Another thing that is always great about this ball is the predictability of the ball. What I mean by this is that the way you strike the ball is the way that the ball is going to react. Many modern soccer balls have somewhat of an unpredictability to them, where the ball will dip or swerve randomly, an issue that you will not have with the Numero 10.

As a package, the Numero 10 is an NFHS and NCAA approved match ball for only $40! Good luck finding another ball that is an approved match ball for any league below the price of $80, because there aren’t very many. The Numero 10 is a great ball, at a great price. It will last a very long time and can be used for almost any level of soccer. Just because a ball uses a more traditional design, doesn’t make it inferior to the more modern balls, and arguably, the 32 panel balls are still the best. Available in a couple of different colors, the Numero 10 is money well spent. If you are looking for a great ball at a low price, the Numero 10 is the ball for you.

Final Score 9 out of 10
